He rushed to cloud nine
As he was summoned by the almighty
With his wings as a shield on his eyes,
He entered the heaven.
Made up of sea glass as clear as crystal,
The throne of God gleaming out the sheen
Surrounded by a lion, an ox, and a flying eagle;
Each with six wings and their eyes all covered
"Holy, holy is the God Almighty” -
They sang in chorus and repeated it constantly.
“Gabriel, here you are”, voice came from the throne
“Fetch me some soil from the earth I’ve spawned,
The universe is about to foray
With my creation called ‘Man’”
Wondered the archangel for a while
Then grabbing the courage he asked the Lord
“O’ the King of Kings, the Power of All
Pardon my curiosity, but who is a Man?”
“He is the dearest of my creation
And the only name on my throne”
“Pardon my curiosity, but why is he dearest of all?”
“Because he will praise his lord with all his heart”
“O’ the King of Kings, the Power of All,
Were we not devoted or fell short in your praise?”
“No, Gabriel, neither you will nor you can
Because I’ll give him what you never had,
The ardor, the zeal that will survive in his heart,
A test that he will have to surpass with his life”
“Pardon my anxiety,
But what if the ardor, the zeal will become his thirst
Then the earth will bathe in shower of blood”
“Those who follow their thirst shall bear my wrath
But, Gabriel, the zeal is just not the only thought,
He will survive even in the midst of dust
That will make him superior from the rest”
“Pardon my curiosity, what is so superior?”
“My dear, I’ve blessed him with shards of power
The power to think
The power to dream
I’ll gift him - The power of Vision”
